Scavenging through desolate provinces and battlefields of what once was her kingdom of renown, her primacy.

She scarcely could discern and elicit remembrances of her greatness through the indistinguishable  rummages that littered the long,  abandoned war-torn streets and alleys where the commonality once roamed, where placidity was always teetering.

Ragged robes  of ebony and onyx which now served as mere translucent draperies that scantily veiled declinations, trailed dejectedly upward along the stairs leading to the Palace of  Poppies.

Fond memories waft through windows and corridors, aromas of pungent redolence overshadowed by unprovoking fetid feralities
